Yes, I can happily work on ebikes. But....
The ebike market is still in its infancy at present, which means that many of the none traditional brands don't have any parts and distribution networks - meaning if I can't get parts for your bike I just can't fix it.
The other issue is weight and size.
If your ebike is the very fat tyre type I cannot transport it on my car. this is also the case if it's in excess of 20kg.
If your bike is exceedingly heavy (28kg+) then my bike stands wont safely support its weight. In which case it will need to be serviced by an ebike specialist who will have a heavy duty hydraulic lift.
Mobility trikes
I have some experience fixing Jorvic trikes - and their support is first class, so I can get parts and info easily from them. As I have very limited space we will need to chat through logistics - but there's usually a way.
Ebikes that I definitely know I can
(mechanically) work on:
Ones with Bosch motors
Established bike brands such as
Trek, Orbea, Specilaized, Giant, Ribble,
Ones I definitely can't work on:
Samebike
Ebikes with Fat Wheels
Surrons - They're not bikes!
CEAYA, Soodoo, Hyuhome, Hitway, iEnyrid, Bezior,
Any bike regular bike that's had a conversion to ebike, or any ebike that's had a power conversion that has taken it into the category of an, illegal for road use without registration plates/tax/insurance ,pedelec.
The above lists aren't exhaustive - so feel free to ask away. I always want to help, even if that's just pointing you in another direction.
Conversions
I'm prohibited by my public liability insurers from carrying out
any conversion of a regular bike to an ebike - even ones such as Switch.
