Shimano have issued a worldwide recall of some Ultegra and Dura Ace chainsets.
If your chainset is one of the ones that have been recalled for inspection Shimano say that you should stop riding any bike with the cranks fitted - and take it to an authorised mechanic as soon as possible.
I can do that for you.
There's no charge as Shimano are footing the bill for the removal/clean/ inspection.
If I find that your crankset has failed inspection then I will deal with Shimano on your behalf to obtain a replacement.
If your crankset passes inspection - then you're good to continue riding.
To see if your crankset requires inspection please have a read of this page to see where to locate the code on your crank - and what to look for. Alternatively, send me a WhatsApp photo of the codes on your crank arms and I'll let you know.
If you would like to book your bike in for inspection the please fill out the usual form here - and mention that you'd like the inspection carried out.
